Terracotta is a type of earthenware usually made from fairly coarse and porous clay, which assumes a brownish-orange colour when fired in a kiln. Terracotta pottery has ancient roots the world over and remains widely used even today. It’s common to see terracotta being used to store water or drink chai here in India, and it also lends itself to a variety of kitchenware and décor items.
