Banana Fiber is extracted from the bark of the banana plant. The trunk is peeled and the skin is separated. The white portion of the bark is processed into knotted fibers. Once the bark is spliced, the pieces are hand-twisted into ropes on rubber sheets by the artisans. The ropes are immersed in water slightly and hand crochet-ed into products. The final products made with banana barks are laid out in the sun for two days.
