A bazaar painted by myriad shades of yellow. A crate of fresh mangoes sent over by the neighbour. An ordinary daal transformed by slices of tart fruit. Sticky corners of a mouth. Long evenings on the verandah with loved ones. For centuries, pickling has allowed us to bottle memories in oil and spice, keeping them aside for a later day. While this tradition may be losing popularity, Ikai Asai has collaborated with local artisans to craft paraphernalia that will nudge us to come together and pickle once again. Through this activity, we hope you will be able to reminisce easier times, and long for new summers. Share your pickling experiences with #PreservingSummer
